(formerly Little Crow)

is a beautifully haunting Vancouver based indie band. The talented duo consists of Emily Seal and Kas Baker. The two complement one another flawlessly with their dynamic skill set. They write profound songs together that are sincerely emotional.  Emily’s voice is an ethereal, mesmerizing and transfixing. It is a vehicle straight from the basement of her heart. Kas’ guitar playing is the perfect landscape surrounding Emily’s voice. You can fall into the depths of their songs the second they start. Winter Youth is inspired by the likes of bands such as The National, Florence and the Machine, and Daughter. This inspiration is apparent in their material, yet they have a refreshingly original approach to music. Their music pulls from the shackles of depression and anxiety.

They have performed at various venues and events such as Canada Music Week, Skookum Festival, Vancouver Island Music Festival, Raindance Film Festival (London, UK), and at the Root Dwellers Concert Series. They recently released their highly anticipated debut full-length album, "Home", produced by Paul Boechler, on November 2nd, 2019, celebrated with a sold-out Vancouver show at the Ellis Building. The record showcases their tapestry of talent and displays their unique skill. This album takes listeners on a scenic walk through a collage of emotions. The best part is that Winter Youth is just getting started and they are certainly one to watch.

Winter Youth is also a subject in the film "Krow's Transformation", a documentary following the transition of transmale model Kian Krow. Kas shares the experiences and story of his own transition in the much-anticipated film. The documentary had its worldwide premiere opening up the Raindance Film Festival in London (UK) September 2019, and can be seen on Amazon Prime Video and OutTv.
